Oil rig workers can be responsible about the environment by not using and releasing extra carbon in the air. Everyone can start using more electric cars and stop using so many gas cars. Also we can cut down on the factories and smoke houses most of the time.

All of the movies have pollution in common they also have people and things trying to fix the big problem.

If farmers didn’t plow up the roots and left loose soil the dust bowl wouldn’t have so much soil to blow away. Erosion is from the wind blowing loose dirt to reform the land. It takes 100’s of 1000’s of years to grow soil but when the dust bowl came and blew all of the dirt away. It took 100’s of 1000’s more years to grow back the soil that blew away. Some farmers cover cropped because one crop season was over then planted the new season crops over them. Soil is made up from parent material and bits of rocks near the earth’s surface. Then an organic material is dead animals and insects, decay, as well as poop. During the dust bowl there was a huge dust storm that affected everyone by all the dust and soil that blew away.

Wall-E and Evie were trying to help the world by bringing a plant from earth to a space shuttle to show there is life there on earth. The Lorax was trying to save his town from the Ouncler, from cutting down all of his lovely trees, were Lorax animals live.

The Lorax connects with the dust bowl and with the oil spill because in the Lorax the people that caused the problem (ouncler) and (The farmers). The movies also connect with the deep water horizon because in Wall-e people had to leave earth because of a disaster and couldn’t come back to earth before there was a sigh of life. And the oil riggers couldn’t go back to rigging the oil before the oil spill was cleaned up.

The china smog and Easter Island connect to each other because they both had some people trying to help and do something about it and then they left. The dust bowl and Easter Island connect because they were both uncalled for. And Easter Island connects with the oil spill because they both are trying to figure out the mystery.

A lesson that everyone can learn from about these books and movies are that anything can happen at any second just be careful and of alert. To prevent any future disasters we should stop bringing up and burning fossil fuels. Also we can start driving more electric car to slow down all of the pollution. And I think that if there was a law that you can’t slash and burn or burn fossil fuels. Also can’t use as many factories that burn the waste they have and if that was a law I think the air would be a whole lot cleaner.
